OFFICIAL RULES

ELIGIBILITY:

Follow Drafted (the “Contest”) is open only to individual persons who are legal residents of Canada excluding residents of the Province of Quebec and who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

Employees, directors and officers of Score Media Ventures Inc. and Procter & Gamble Inc., (the “Contest Sponsors”), and each of their respective affiliated or related entities, agents, advertising or promotional agencies, suppliers providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest, the independent contest organization and anyone else involved in the development or execution of this Contest and all members of any such director’s, officer’s, employee’s household or immediate family (regardless of where they live) are not eligible to enter the Contest. In these Official Rules, “immediate family” means spouse and mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and each of their spouses.

ACCEPT OFFICIAL RULES:

Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to the Contest Sponsors’ decisions. The decisions of the Contest Sponsors in regards to all matters of this Contest are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. In addition to these Official Rules, all of the Terms of Use applicable to www.theScore.com shall apply to this Contest and to all submissions made by Contestants in connection with this Contest. Please review Terms of use carefully.

CONTEST PERIOD:

The Contest commences on Monday, May 11th, 2009 at 12:00 PM ET and ends at 11:59 PM ET on Thursday December 3rd, 2009 (the “Contest Period”). For purposes of these Official Rules all times are Eastern Time (”ET”).

HOW TO ENTER:

To be entered in the Contest, you must first register for the Drafted social newsletter using the online entry form provided at http://www.drafted.ca. You must completely fill out the entry form to be eligible. All complete entries will be eligible for the Bi-weekly and Grand Prize draws. Limit one entry per person/email address.
Once registered, you will receive a newsletter each month. This newsletter will provide updates on the search and post exclusive videos and blog postings from The Score’s broadcasting personalities. You are welcome (but not obligated) to participate on the Drafted website and its subsidiary Facebook and Twitter pages in a number of ways:

  • Following Drafted on Twitter
  • Becoming a fan and referring friends to the Drafted fan page on Facebook
  • Commenting on the latest post on the drafted.ca Blog
  • Submitting story ideas to the drafted.ca Blog (ex. The Top 5 Broadcasting Lines of All-Time)
  • Responding to Tweets about Drafted Trivia
  • Referring the contest to a friend

Only entries received online in accordance with these Official Rules will be accepted. No other forms of entry will be accepted. Entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address provided as part of the Contest registration process. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Potential Prize winners may be required to provide Contest Sponsors with identification and proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning entry. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest Sponsors’ server machine(s).

PERSONAL DATA:

All personal information submitted in relation to the Contest will be handled in accordance with Canadian privacy laws and the privacy policy of Contest Sponsors which may be found at http://www.thescore.com/ScoreTv/privacy.aspx and http://www.pg.com/privacy/english/privacy_notice.html. Your personal information will only be used in connection with the Contest, except where you have provided your affirmative prior consent wherein such information may also be used to send you additional information about the Contest Sponsors, the Prize Supplier, each of their subsidiaries and each of their respective products and programs. Your personal information will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with anyone else.

PRIZING:

Subject to verification and release requirements and the other requirements of these Official Rules, the following prizes are to be awarded.

Bi-weekly Prizes (13): There will be (13) prizes awarded, one every two weeks for the duration of the contest.

Each Bi-weekly Prize consists of one (1) Gillette Prize Pack including 1 Gillette Fusion Gamer Razor, 1 Gillette HydraGel Ultra Sensitive, 1 Gillette Power Beads Deodorant, 1 Gillette Hydrator Body Wash, 1 Gillette 2 in 1 shampoo, 1 Gillette Precision Putty and 1 Shower Caddy (Approximate Retail Value: $50.00).

Bonus Prizes (10): Contestants who enter the Drafted contest between September 8th, 2009 and September 18th, 2009 will have the opportunity to win one (1) of ten (10) Gillette Prize Packs. Each Prize Pack includes: 1 Gillette Fusion Power Razor, 1  Gillett e Fusion HydraGel shave prep, 1 Gillette Precision Putty, 1 Gillette Power Gel,  1 Gillette Power Beads Antiperspirant/Deodorant, 1 Gillette 2 in 1 Hydrator + Body Wash, 1 Gillette 2 in 1 Clean + Condition Shampoo (Approximate Retail Value: $50.00)

Grand Prize (1)

There will be One (1) Grand Prize awarded consisting of two (2) tickets to a 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship game (date and location of game to be determined in Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion), including return economy air fare for two (2) from the Canadian domestic airport nearest the winner’s place of residence and onward to the destination city (to be determined in Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion), hotel accommodations for 3 nights (based on double occupancy), two (2) Flip Video Mino HD camcorders and $500.00 spending money. (Approximate Retail Value $3400.00) It is the sole responsibility of the winner and guest to obtain all necessary travel documentation, including passports and visas, if applicable.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, have no cash value and are not transferable or refundable, except in Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion. The Contest Sponsors reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable value or greater value without liability. All costs and expenses not specifically included above as part of each Bi-Weekly, or Grand Prize, including, without limitation, all applicable taxes, are the sole responsibility of each winner.
Contestants acknowledge that Contest Sponsors, anyone else involved in the development or execution of this Contest and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each of and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Releasees”) have not made, nor are in any manner responsible, for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to, its quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Each bi-weekly draw will be held at 11am ET. Odds of winning a bi-weekly prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by each bi-weekly draw date. All non-winning entries will be rolled over into each subsequent bi-weekly draw.

The bonus prize pack draw will be held on September 23rd at 11am ET. Odds of winning a bonus prize pack depend on the number of eligible entries received between September 8th,2009 and September 18th, 2009.

One Grand Prize winner will be drawn on December 4th, 2009 at 11am ET. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the contest closing date, excluding bi-weekly prize winners.
All draws will take place at The Score Television Network at 370 King Street West, Suite 435, Toronto ON, M5V 1J9.
Only one prize will be awarded per contest winner, family, household, group or organization.

POTENTIAL WINNERS:

All potential winners are subject to verification by the Contest Sponsors, whose decisions are final. The Contest Sponsors shall solely determine any form of verification. A Contestant is not a winner of any prize unless and until the Contestant’s eligibility and the potential winning entry has been verified and the Contestant has been notified that verification is complete. The Contest Sponsors will not accept screen shots, affidavits or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process.

Potential winners will be notified that their entry has been selected via email sent within three (3) business days following the drawing. In order to be confirmed as a winner, each selected entrant must have complied with, and remain in compliance with, these Official Rules and will be required to execute a standard declaration of eligibility, a liability release, and where legal, a publicity release form (the “Release Forms”), and any other documentation that Contest Sponsors may reasonably require. The Release Forms confirm compliance with these Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and release the Releasees from any and all liability in connection with a prize, or any part of a prize, or this Contest. To be declared a Winner, each selected Contestant (or their parent/legal guardian if selected Contestant is considered a minor in his/her province of residence) must correctly answer a mathematical, skill testing question to be administered by phone, email or postal mail, and must complete, sign and return the required Release Forms and such other documentation that Contest Sponsors may request, and Contest Sponsors must be in receipt of all such documents, within the time frames specified by Contest Sponsors. In all cases, Contest Sponsors reserves the right to request proof of identity, residency, age and parenthood/guardianship, and a winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize if the Contest Sponsors, in its sole discretion, finds that the proof is unsatisfactory.

If the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if a selected Contestant cannot be personally contacted within three (3) days of the draw date, does not execute and return to Contest Sponsors the Release Forms and such other documentation as Contest Sponsors may require within the time frames specified by Contest Sponsors, fails to correctly answer the skill testing question, or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, the selected Contestant will be disqualified and another Contestant will be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible entries and confirmed a winner in accordance with these Official Rules.

Prizes will be awarded and delivered to confirmed winners by Contest Sponsors within sixty (60) days of the each respective draw date. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all mailing and email information is up-to-date and accurate.

PUBLICITY:

Except where prohibited, participation in this Contest constitutes consent to the use by the Releasees of a winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions and biographical information for publicity, advertising, trade or promotional purposes in any media or manner, now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, without further payment, consideration, notice or approval.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

The Contest Sponsors reserve the right in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate, and/or suspend the Contest and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Without limiting the foregoing, the Contest Sponsors may lock out an entrant who, in the Contest Sponsors’ sole judgment, has been disqualified, has questionable eligibility or is otherwise ineligible to enter.

A PERSON WHO ATTEMPTS DELIBERATELY TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION OR TO ALTER OR DAMAGE A WEBSITE MAY BE SUBJECT TO CIVIL AND/OR CRIMINAL PENALTIES AND FINES; AND SPONSORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Without limiting the foregoing, the Contest Sponsors reserves the right to, without prior notice and at any time, remove participants or terminate this Contest, in whole or in part, or modify this Contest in any way, should any factor interfere with its proper conduct or impair the administration, security, integrity and fairness of play (as intended) of the Contest. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors and will not be returned.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

By entering, Contestants (and parent/legal guardian if participant is a minor) release and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this Contest or acceptance, use, misuse or nonuse of any prize or parts thereof (including activity or travel related thereto), including, without limitation, liability for death, personal injury, damage or loss of any kind, and from liability to any other persons relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this Contest. The Releasees are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment, hardware, software or programming associated or used with the Contest; (ii) technical errors, defects, delays or failures of any kind, including without limitation malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in communications lines, Internet or website access, hardware or software; (iii) digital or electronic disruptions, e.g., viruses other security breaches; (iv) unauthorized human intervention, e.g., hacking; (v) technical or human error which may occur in connection with any aspect of the Contest; (vi) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from a contestant’s participation in the Contest, or receipt or use of any prize; and (vii) lost, incomplete, illegible or garbled entries, mail or transmissions, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, failed computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic.
