Austin’s Bio
Born and raised in Vancouver, Austin Spencer is a former UBC football player who once ran for mayor of Vancouver and most recently, tried his hand at professional wrestling. After a year-long stint training in Florida with the WWE, Spencer was called up to appear on wrestling’s highest rated shows – RAW and Smackdown. Appearing as his trademark alias, “The Mayor Austin Spencer”, he describes his character as a study in contrasts – “This man is a visionary, a role model and fine upstanding citizen but he’s also a corrupt, crooked conman only looking out for #1”.
Sounding like a true politician, when asked about his strategy for winning Gillette DRAFTED 2, Spencer says that it’s all about entertaining the viewers. “This is all about building a connection with the audience each time the viewer tunes in to The Score. I am going to capture their imagination and get them emotionally invested in both The Score and my on-air personality”.
Will Austin Spencer ‘the man’ connect with viewers and judges the way Austin Spencer, ‘the politician’ connects with voters? Tune in to Gillette DRAFTED 2 to find out….
