Andrew Phung is our first contestant in the Gillette Drafted Trivia Challenge. He says has hopes to channel “Slumdog Millionaire” and have all the answers come from moments in his life. Andrew has clearly never been to a Toronto Blue Jays game because he botches the very first question asking the name of their home stadium. He did, however, correctly spell Score reporter Glenn Schiiler’s name — which I’m guessing some of the people who actually work at The Score might not be able to do. It’s the “double-i” that gets ya.

Sean Menard is the next contestant to have his sports knowledge challenged. He fared a little better than Andrew, but like Mr. Phung, he didn’t know Eldrick “Tiger” Woods’ real first name. Isn’t it funny how most people probably don’t know the real first name of one of the most famous sports celebrities in the world?

The third challenger is the pride of Halifax, Nova Scotia, (note: may not actually be the pride of Halifax, we’re just assuming) Jayne Erickson. In her intro, she claims that she knows “a little bit about a lot of different sports”, which isn’t really showing a lot of confidence in her sports knowledge. Jayne admits that baseball knowledge, in particular, is not her forte, and she proves it when she’s unable to identify the focused face of Roy Halladay during the “Picture Perfect” category. To her credit, however, she was the first contestant to know that legendary old-timey baseball player Joe Jackson’s nickname was “Shoeless”.

Batting cleanup in the Gillette Drafted Trivia Challenge is Andy McIsaac. He claims that he’s not nervous, but the way he’s moving his legs around and rocking in his chair shows otherwise. Andy clearly isn’t a big NFL fan because he guessed that wide receiver Jerry Rice was the all-time leader in rushing yards. To his credit, he correctly identified the Chicago Blackhawks as the team with the longest Stanley Cup drought. Most people would probably assume it was the Leafs, but it just seems that way.

Paul Brothers is the last contestant to face the Steve Kouleas trivia onslaught, and he was probably the most impressive of the bunch. He was the only contestant to correctly associate Muhammad Ali with the nickname “The Greatest of All Time”.
